THEY REAPED FOR US A BLESSING, FREEDOM. HAVING SACRIFICED THEIR
LIVES AND GIVEN UP THEMSELVES FOR THAT ULITMATE
CAUSE.
DEATH FOR LIFE.
WE HONOR THEM THIS DAY, MEMORIAL DAY.

Here is a recap of the articles from this last week. If you missed one, why not go back and visit?
I took the picture and just knew I had a fantastic shot. It was framed well. The light was right and the settings on Canon were correct.
On Your Way to Photo Pro: 4 Tips
Are you on a budget? Do you have a desire to be a photographer, but feel like you cannot afford it?
Learn… Learn… Learn… Having too much knowledge in the realm photography is better than having just passable knowledge.
Be patient. Careers are not made in a day, a week, or a month.
Shoot local. There are truly wonderful professional photographers in the world who are able travel to various parts of the world to ply their craft.
Mike & Paul’s Big Phat Photo Adventure
The first episode in a string of a few episodes to come from Paul Dennison and myself.
Do you ever refer back to your camera manual? You may have skimmed through it, or you maybe even read it all the way through when you first purchased your camera.
I hope you enjoyed the articles that came last week. Look for more next week as we continue to think about the art of photography. Thanks for coming along!
Some of you may have noticed that there have been very few articles coming out of PhotoCapM recently. I wanted to give you an update and let know that articles will resume this weekend. Look for a new “Flickrite” in the Spotlight before Monday. You will also see the next install of the Blogging v. Photoblogging series that was started in January by the end of next week.
In the meantime you may want to visit, or even revisit, those articles and announcements that appeared in January. Simply follow this link: January 2010 on PhotoCapM. Remember to look for new articles coming over the next couple of weeks.
December 2009 was a great month for PhotoCapM. There were 19 posts that varied from announcements to full blown articles. We finished this month with 7 full articles, 3 “Flickrites” Spotlighted, the first article in a 4 part series of articles, and even a poem. December also saw several news releases, announcements, and a follow up on the December 12 Help-Portrait event. We even made available an official PhotoCapM, Captured by Mike… t-shirt.
We added some new links to the “Photo Websites and Photographers” category, as well as some new Flickr Pals and Groups. We added three new link categories; one called “Photo Equipment”, another called “Photo Groups and Clubs”, and last, one called “Links of Interest”. My hope is that these will continue grow with trusted websites over the coming months.
December saw the birth of Mike’s… Heart Art with several articles on giving back as a photographer. PhotoCapM was also highlighted by PhotographyBB in a series they are doing on favorite photo blogs. This truly was a great month for this blog.
I invite you to take a look back at what you may have missed in December, or even reread an article or two. As always, we invite you to return regularly as 2010 will bring even more articles, tutorials, spotlights, photographs, announcements, and news on the world of photographic art. So, take a moment and review December 2009.
And, welcome to 2010…
From my family and PhotoCapM a very Happy New Year to all of you. I hope and pray great things happen for you in 2010.
By the way, a tip… Aluminum Christmas tree branches make for great faux fireworks… LOL!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
